there is no reason to be nervous! Everything is fine. - don’t worry!
You can definitely end up with some cells in the harvesting position and some in the honey position if you are not careful with the key. The bees simply do not use the cells that are in harvest position. I ended up with two frames like that, one had about two inches at the very back that the bees just ignored and the other was about 1/3rd of the frame! Lesson learned that when you put the key back in, put it all the way and turn it around 180 degrees on the left, middle and right.
