Hey all. Tried a candy board for my 2 hives this winter. The girls have taken too it, but today I noticed that sugar is collecting in the bottom tray. Is this normal??
Yes, they are messy eaters. 
If you had a solid bottom board, they would pick up the pieces and use them. With a screen, they may not be able to reach the pieces unless you put something solid immediately below the floor to close up the holes.
