If it doesn’t work out, consider ordering bees from Mark Huerta from the San Diego Beekeeping Society. His bees are great, the queens he buys are fabulous, and he offers one to one mentoring (for a modest fee) if you want it. He has 50 years of experience and is a very nice guy. Based in El Cajon. Just a thought, but I hope your current bees do well.
