Dead bees on coreflute- hive with chalk brood

there are plenty of hives nearby- it could have been that. It was a one off thing- now that coreflute is back to normal. This week I will be dealing with hive again- removing the supers and moving it. the flow super is only half full. I have harvested the ideal twice this year and think its probably full again. Despite the chalkbrood it’s always been a very productive and strong hive. It has a reduced entrance- I have never actually seen any robbing happening. The one thing against the robbing theory is that the bees could never actually enter the hive from below- so I don’t see how so many could get attracted to going there. Bees from that hive do like to go in there and clean up- but generally only half a dozen at a time.
