Does anybody have a Nuc or a split?

I am on the Gold Coast QLD.
I am new to beekeeping but have a hive all ready to go.
Problem is I have no bees, is anyone doing a split or have a Nuc that I can have, unfortunately at present I am out of work so cannot afford to purchase these but will gladly take either of them if they need a home…

Is that a flow hive that you have? I can put a colony of bees into it in exchange for a hand to do some pruning, mulching, mowing & tidying up my back yard & verandah. I live at Buderim.

As a hail merry you could set up the brood box as a swarm catcher. Put it in place and put some lemon grass oil and you may get lucky. May be an interim step for you.

A colleague at work really recommends “Swarm Commander Spray” for catching swarms.
