Hi all, I am a new beekeeper with a new flow hive 2. I just finished painting the roof and oiling the outside of the brood box and I’m ready to go. Looking forward to getting started. Does anybody know of someone on the Sunny Coast that sells bees? I would love to purchase a nuc. Thanks for your help Samantha ---

Hi Artizensc, welcome to the forum and this beautiful beekeeping! Starting went great, I received my nuc from JeffH back in January and the colony has grown strong. I put my super on in March and the girls are busy filling in the gaps. No honey spares yet, patience is my best friend! Do you have your nuc? ---

Thanks for your reply Samantha, I have been told by one keeper to wait and another to get a full hive, so Im trying to do some homework to see whats best for my area. Are you needing to feed your bees at all yet? ---

I haven’t been feeding mine, there’s plenty of flowers around and they’re landing with pollen on their legs. I did a hive inspection last week and I wrote my observations and learnings here in the forum. I’m a newbee though feel that two (probably 3) full frames of honey should do them okay. ---
