Is this a bee larvae?

Hi Skeggley

I really do appreciate your attention and interest you have shown towards the queries that I raised lately. to address your queries as follows, hoping you would have some answers to mine.

Yes I am in a bee club, yes I do have a mentor (but I would like to have more wide range of opinions/advices). I have only one colony. Started the colony on 01 November 2016. The last time I inspected the Brood Box (7 Frames) was in December 16 and it looked pretty jam pack with honey combs (that was before I put the Super Box on top).

I have extracted in excess of 20 Kg of honey since November16, where I emptied 7 flow frames about 3-4 times.

MY concern here is the wellbeing of the bee colony as there are hardly any honey in the 7 frames at the present time. Do I need to feed them some honey to keep them going through winter??. I observe the bees fly out of the hive as usual but when they enter into the hive they try to get into the frames combs {empty} not really sure if they are trying to feed on remnants of honey or whatever they’re trying to do.

I open the superbox from the back to see dried wax drying out and forming dusty wax.

Your thoughts

Hi Houssam, when you say you emptied 7 flow frames 3 or 4 times do you mean you tapped the frames a total of up to 28 times from which you collected 20kg of honey? I would suggest (if you haven’t already) that you do a full inspection - have a look in the super and the brood to see what the current stores are like. Actually take out the flow frames and have a look at them one by one and see what is in them. When you say there is hardly any honey in them is that by looking in the back observation window?
