Do you need to be close to a swarm for lemongrass oil to work and attract them?

Hi & welcome to the forum.

Lemongrass oil can help to make a swarm lure smell more like home. A swarm lure has to not only smell nice, it has to convince the many scouts of the swarm that it is the correct dimensions inside, is suitably insulated and offers protection from predators.

Thank you, I am very new, I have never had bees before and I am trying to decide if I should wait or buy (hive set up is 2 days old).
