Lots of pollen in bottom tray

Hi all,
Since my last hive inspection 2 weeks ago the girls look to be very busy, as the photo of the bottom tray shows, yep it will get cleaned out today, is it normal to see such large amounts of pollen fall through into the tray.
There has been a very good wattle and paperbark flowering over the last month or so here in SE Qld and I do see lots brought back to the hive.
Thanks
Mick

Hi Mick, that appears to be a lot of pollen. The main thing is, as long as the bees are able to stop enough falling through, so that they have enough for their requirements. It might be a good thing that some is falling through, otherwise they could overload some brood frames with pollen. Also it might slow down the colonies urge to swarm.

Thanks Jeff,
I appreciate the reply,
I’ll monitor now I’ve cleared out the tray.
Cheers
