I am getting my girls ready for winter here in the north uk. I have just the brood box, no super. I have insulated the roof, fitted mouse guard and entrance reducer, done varroa treatment, placed fondant over the crown board opening. Do I leave on or take off the queen excluder? (It’s been on the whole time since I started the flow hive in June)

Take it off. Only needed when you have a super on the hive.
