Hi all, I’m using the feeder shown in the pics and the link below. We’re pulling the feeder once/week and cleaning it/refilling it when it’s empty. This time we found the bees had built come above the top of the frames and into the feeder bottom. We cleaned all of the stray come off the top of the frames and the feeder, is there any way to mitigate this behavior, or is it just a potential issue when using this type of feeder?

Just the way it is with bees. Give them space and they will fill it with wax or propolis, or both!

I agree with @Dawn_SD .
I hang on to all of my wax scrapings, as well as propolis. Propolis is selling for a thousand dollars a kilo online. I recently made myself some propolis tincture, which I haven’t tried yet.
My wax scrapings go into a bucket, to get melted down later on with cappings.
