I’m an accidental ‘bee keeper’. A wild swarm made its home in the roof of my house. When it swarmed a friend lent me a box to catch it in. I kept it in my garden as I have fruit trees.

I had no interest in seriously getting into beekeeping but enjoyed having the bees there, so when I heard about the Flow-hive I decided to try one. I have since bought two more flow-hives, one I have sold on after catching a swarm in it. I am waiting to catch another swarm in the other one.

The honey I have harvested so far I have mostly given away as presents; Xmas etc. I have no intention of making it into a business.
