As a child my dad kept bees (about 7 hives) and I helped him at every opportunity. He was very allergic to bee stings so he was very grateful for the help - or at least that is what he told me.
When he died, I decided to reconnect with him by getting my own hive. Buying my first home which sits on a large block also helped realise this dream.
I love watching bees - I have a wonderful garden filled with flowers that I love tending to - I love honey - and I am home because of the pandemic (Covid 19). Its the perfect nexus of things.
