I got an original classic 6-frame Flow Hive (2015) but it took me til the spring of 2019 to get my 1st bees. I will get a FH2 in autumn or by Christmas = 2 hives, plus a 3rd: another kickstarter campaign OpenSource Bees top bar Barcelona Warre hive. I’m glad I didn’t know better when I got the 2 different hives (in Ireland most people are on Nationals or Commercials). I’m an industrial designer by training so problem solving is second nature. I’ve been mad into gardening — it is slowly all…bees, bee by-products, garden, cut flowers! making things… coming together. I find beekeeping to be a very social pursuit, much as I am on my own most of the time.
