Are anyone else's bees building comb between the Flow frames?

Hey @RBK. Were you able to lift the frames out easily or did you just lift the whole box? Are those pics of the top of the honey super?

Sorry, I should have been clearer with what the photo is of.

It’s a trick I learnt from a commercial beekeeper to deal with comb on the bottom of frames in the supers. You put the lid down upside down, put the super on its side (ie. front of the box facing the ground) and scrape the burr comb down into the lid. Then put the super back on, collect the wax out of the lid… and put the lid back on. This stops bees getting squashed between comb when you put the super back on and means you don’t have to pull frames one by one and put the hive tool down between frames to clean it up.

The photos are of the bottom/underneath of the Flow super. Here is a wider shot so it hopefully makes more sense.

I didn’t take a shot with the lid in picture sorry.

If anyone is doing this, be careful of the wires + ridges in the Flow segments as the hive tool will catch on them when you’re running it down the length of the frame.
