Flow at Apimondia 2019, Montreal, Canada

It’s official :honeybee: Flow will be attending Apimondia 2019, to be hosted in Montreal, Canada. http://www.apimondia2019.com/.

Montréal will be hosting the 46th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress in 2019.

As many of you know, APIMONDIA is the International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations. Its major objective is to facilitate the exchange of information and discussions by organizing Congresses and Symposia where beekeepers, scientists, honey-traders, agents for development, technicians and legislators meet to listen, discuss and learn from one another. Apimondia meetings are fabulous events that offer great opportunities to learn about all the aspects of the beekeeping world. During these meetings, from morning until late evening, participants explore various exhibits and learn about cutting edge research from all parts of the world.

Yes, we’ve booked. Our particular interest is apitherapy in all shapes and forms. And all the other stuff as well.
Greatly looking forward to it and will enter some Aussie flow honey into the honey competition.

Cool, good luck  Flow honey has won some awards in some other shows already. Can’t remember who it was though…

I think @Rodderick and @Semaphore’ s Mum have both won awards for honey/creamed honey.

September is not exactly the best time around here to leave the bees to do as bees do without checking, so we probably won’t explore too much of Canada before or after apimondia. June/July would be way better.
Wonder how bee busy September is in other countries and if apimondia dates are picked according to busy-ness of apiaries around the world.

I reckon it’s going by the Northern Hemisphere’s season of it being quiet coming into winter.
