Frame 1 and 7 in my brood box are fully capped honey frames. Should I remove this to give the Ladies more room from spring. Or leave it?
Bees like having a bit of honey in the brood box, usually at the outer edges of the brood nest. It makes feeding brood (and nurse bees) much easier if they don’t have a long trek to get supplies. If the brood box is full going into spring, I would put a super on, rather than removing resources from the brood box. Just my preference

Hi Catty, spring is basically here. As spring progresses, we’ll (I’m in Buderim) start to see the bees opening up the brood more so that the queen can lay more eggs. The colony will be in control of that. We don’t have to remove honey, they will do it themselves.
The thing for us to be mindful of during spring is that bees will build up to swarming strength. Therefore we need to start preparing so that we can take steps to try to prevent that from happening.
