I got the bees but did I do it right?

On my 5th week as a newbie beekeeper, but I have already noticed the bees get all crabby when storm clouds gather in the horizon, better than the weather reports! I just give them space. When it is sunny and no wind they are little lambs.

I had no idea this was the case. Congratulations on your adventure as a bee keeper. I think we started around the same time. Did you get the hive from a wild colony or order in a queen?

I ordered a queen from our local bee supplier, but have missed out on some swarms since I only have one box…

I have one bee hive that is three layers tall. I do need to get move hive boxes though because ll my neighbors in my little community are now wanting me to get the wild bees away from their houses. Good luck with your bees.

OK everyone here. I have unleashed a monster inside me. Someone came to me and told me of some bees that were going to be killed if I didn’t come and get them. I couldn’t stand this thought so I bought another 3 layer bee hive and am planning to go get this hive. This is getting out of control LMAO

Yup, its official. You are now one of us. I had 7 going into winter, lost 2, now I have 22. I get swarm calls almost every day and have been giving the bees to other beekeepers-- check out my Facebook adventure from yesterday www.purdiegoodhoney.com to see how much fun it is.

Checking your page out now. With all the bee stings I have taken I would think that enough is enough and here I am begging for more trips to the urgent care. LMAO
