Little Progress?

Hi all, we got a 5 frame nuc a month ago tomorrow. We’ve been feeding sugar water constantly, there is capped brood but not sure about eggs as I did t look that close during our inspection 8 days ago. It dawned on me that it’s been nearly a month and they’ve only built out one out of three empty frames- see pic (it’s in the middle and the empty frames are on the right side- see pic). I added brood booster to the sugar water this week. Any other suggestions or thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi Shawn, everything is relevant to the number of workers in a colony, also what stage of life they are in, as well as what’s available for the bees to forage on.

I think it’s good that you’re feeding, that makes up for any shortage in the wild.

It’s just a matter of waiting for the population of workers to build up before we see any significant progress.
