QX in or out over winter

Do most people remove QX in winter to allow the queen to move up into the honey super. Our climate rarely gets below 2degrees C on the far south coast of New South Wales in Australia and even though there’s less sun on the hives in winter the bees forage most days. My concern would be having the queen lay in the honey super… is this a problem is you remove the QX? What do most people do?

Hiya Shayne, I just replied to your other post related to this question - in your shoes I wouldn’t want to gamble with the possibility of eggs laid in the Flow frames. I’d just harvest what’s in your Flow and remove it during colder months.
