Curious if anyone knows of a shim that can fit the flow hive, I feel like the cover is not deep enough for me to put pollen patties on top of my brood frames. Anyone have ideas on what you do to accommodate pollen patties on top of your frames?
Are you in a cold area and is this for winter supplements? (Do your patties not fit on top of frames?)
we’ve had good luck embedding patties into our homemade candy board. If thinking about candy board maybe do some searches and it will give you some ideas.
Not a cold area, I am in Florida we get a dearth in August and these are new nucs supplementing with syrup and was going to throw a pollen patty on as well I find with that patty on top of my frame the Flow hive cover does not have a lot of room for it between the cover and the top of my frames. Other hive inner covers seem to have more space. I guess I can flatten it a little more.
Flow covers are tight… flatten the patty or use an empty shallow super as a spacer.
