Thanks Cathiemac for your ideas, I have recombined a swarm with the hive they came from using the newspaper between supers method and I think it worked quite well. This hive already has two full brood supers and I don’t want to go higher as I want to put a flow hive on top! Think I will just have to be brutal and pull the whole hive to pieces and condense down to one super, just hope I don’t lose the queen or it’s not too late for a new queen to mate. March Temps still in mid twenties in the daytime and about 15C at night.
