Even though I only have 1 hive it would be good to thoroughly drain. Thank you.

To my thinking as a bee, there is honey leaking into the hive at the slot which is being slurped up, but the cells need repairing after the sealing wax has been broken before honey can be stored in them again so to my thinking how easy it is for the bees if the chamber is completely drained so that there is only one job for the bees - repair the cells; and no slurping up to be done.
Good of @Martha to give you the kit part number, but if you email Flow Hive the caps are available separately so you only buy what you need.
Cynthia, ok, you only have one hive – now, but bee keeping becomes very, very addictive so by next year, well, who knows
