Although I wasn’t able to relocate the colony last spring (will be asap this spring), I did keep a close eye out for any more with deformed wings. The colony was thriving and seemed to almost triple in size, I found 6 more bees with deformed/unformed wings disposed of at base of tree below box, this was amongst dead old bees & other bee related detritus. I think in relation to overall colony size that is perhaps result of something else, though of course can’t absolutely confirm that until I’ve been able to properly inspect.
