Ceracell feeders

Hi all. My first post so please bear with me. I’ve recently purchased a Ceracell top feeder for my flow hive but I’m not sure how to place it. Should I install it on top of the lid and remove the centre plug so the bees have access, or place it directly on the brood box with the lid and roof on top of the feeder? Thanks in advance.

Either or from the looks of the ceracell design.

I would take the top board off so the bees have direct access from the brood box.

Welcome to the forum.

Thankyou. I was sort of thinking that method too but I wasn’t sure if I’d lose to much heat by removing the top board.
