Do bees move honey if frames exposed to sunlight?

Hi, I left the cover off the rear viewing window for a day and noticed that the bees have moved honey from the cells in direct view…is this due to them thinking the hive is open? Or might there be another issue?

Hi Tony,
Thinking like a bee, its like the side of your house just collapsed so what do you do… move all your valuables away from the elements. A colony feels exposed and will plug any holes with propolis but if the opening is too large, they will move the colony and its contents.

Thanks Rodderick, it makes sense when you explain it like that!
