Hello. I’m not a beekeeper and don’t have beekeeping equipment, but I’m looking for advice on evicting a colony of bees from a decaying tree stump. I can’t see the hive from outside the stump, but it is evidently there as there are constantly some bees hovering around the stump. To my untrained eye the bees resemble honey bees and they are not particularly aggressive.
Welcome to the forum. I think the best thing to do is take some photos & try to find a local beekeeper who would want to remove/trap them out. If they are honeybees they would be worth picking up because #1 they are not aggressive & #2 they are able to control varroa without any intervention. A local bee group/association could be worth contacting.
