Feeding pollen in pollen feeder

i just bought a pollen feeder and the bees ignore it is it the wrong time of year.(august) i have 3/4 year experience only.

Depends on your hemisphere and local forage. I see you are in Virginia - is that US or Australia? If you are in the US, it is definitely the wrong time of year. I wouldn’t feed them pollen until about February.

i live in virginiaand thanks for your advice

Perhaps my question wasn’t clear. I presume you live in Virginia state in the USA? This is an international forum, so you could live in Virginia in Queensland state, Australia. My advice would be completely different for the two locations. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

Virginia is an inner city suburb of Brisbane, the capital city of the state of Queensland.

Most people would just say they’re from Brisbane, so I think it’s safe to assume he’s in Virginia USA.
