There are a couple of YouTube videos out there where someone’s talked about putting oil or staying on their hive box and then putting a fiberglass resin on top. This is supposed to help protect and keep the box protected better over time. Looking for thoughts on doing this to the full flow hive?
Penetrating epoxy might be something to try. But epoxy won’t breath so that might be a concern. I guess paint doesn’t breath either so maybe not a problem after all.
Interesting idea. At least at the exposed grain.
