Hi there,
I am curious if any one has fed their bees water using an inverted jar feeder during hot weather. My bees seem to be using the bird bath I have placed near their hive as a water source, but I will be out of town for about a week and won’t be around to top it off every day like I usually do. They have a couple other water sources in the yard, they are just a bit farther. The weather is going to be in the mid to high 80’s and I just want to make their lives as easy as I can while I’m gone. The concern that comes to mind with using the feeder is increasing the humidity inside the hive too much. The humidity has been 50-60%ish in inland north county San Diego. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
