Iam more a learn as i go fella . Reading books from People how have been doing it all there life . these forums u seem to get 15 different ways to do every thing

My apologies Peter, I should have mentioned to make sure you have fertile eggs or very young worker larvae in any of those six brood frames your combining to start a new hive. When I’m combining that many brood frames, I generally assume that they are present in at least one of them. However it is best to check for yourself for your own piece of mind.

What’s the weather at Kosi at the mo? My sister is in the area and went up the chair yesterday. It looked foggy on top or was that low cloud?
Very cold Valli just had 132 mm rain last 5 days … so the little ladys not happy thay want the sun back …

We have had floods here. I’m on a slightly higher ground so we are OK. But my internet sever up line keeps getting flooded and we have been having internet problems.
Because. It is so mild this year what would normally fall as snow, is rain. We had the wettest December in years.
I’ve been up on Kosi new years and had snow, ice and frozen Brooks - it may be summer in Oz but the high plains are so changeable.
I spent many a Christmas break camped out up there. It is really gorgeous.

Yes Valli its a nice place to live thats for sure . weather on the turn today sun coming out so moving some ladys into the flow after lunch …
