Hi folks! I’ve seen a few posts of people considering using Flow Frames with a TBH, and was wondering- has anyone actually done so? We currently have 3 hives, all medium boxes and all foundationless (because @Michael_Bush) except for the flow supers & frames (because so far they only come in deep?) Due to back issues I can longer lift an 8 frame medium full of honey, and thus am considering converting to a horizontal or “long langstroth” as I’ve seen them called. I have a wonderful husband wh…

I have also seen people use lime or diatomaceous in their traps:

We have glued some small timber pieces 8mm square to the existing core flute on the flowhive to help catch SHB and moths. The trap is on the core flute board, goes in the lower slot and uses ordinary garden lime. The gap is too small for bees but allows the beetles in. It also catches any larvae that may drop through from inside the hive. Any beetles or moth get covered in lime and die.
