I purchased a Flow Hive Classic and would like to know how it should be stacked please.
There is a base, brood box, divider with a circle in the middle, super box, white plastic screen and a roof.

From base, then brood box, then white plastic queen excluder, then flow hive honey super box, then inside cover with the circle, then the roof. This should be diagramed in the booklet that came with the setup.

Some advice to consider Bill is finding your local bee group once you have the protective clothing and the Corona Virus is over and joining in to get some hands on and eye ball experience. The first time you into a hive and all the bees it can be a shock. Even off to help a commercial bee keeper out in return for the experience. Don’t be nervous about asking questions, we were all beginners once and asked the same questions.

Hi Bill the only thing I would add that I would replace the plastic queen excluder with a metal one. This makes for much easier seperation when doing hive inspections. The plastic one just flexes too much. In fact I always a clean spare that I swap out each time so that it minimises the time the hive is open. Good luck.
