Half size frames

I am first year beekeeper.
I have 2 flow hives. One of them was package bees, the second a nuc
Put into my brood box by a local apiarist
The nuc included several frames that were half size.
How do i swap them out and put a full size frame in?

There is two easy options to cycle out short frames

  1. Move the short frames to the outside of the brood box till the brood emerges and then fit full depth frames in to replace them.
  2. If you have a spare full depth box put the short frames in it and put that box above a QX and new frames with foundation checker boarded into the brood box.
You are doing the right thing cycling out the short frames to standardize the hive so you don’t have too much gear, keep it simple Marc.
    Cheers

Thanks so much for info!
