Hi From Bowen, QLD

New to bee keeping, i have set up my first hive and harvested some honey yesterday. Second hive is on its way.
Another step on the path to being self - sufficient.

Hello - glad things are progressing well for you!

BTW - I’ve noticed that if I leave the back vent cover off a few bees will still manage to find their way in and get trapped in the debris tray.

Beno, we could meet at The Sisters for a coffee and chat. I live at the Delta and would over Russell’s Crossing.

Or I’m sitting at the Australia One market stall on Sunday morning if you’d like to come over and say hello.

Great work with your glow hive. I have bee colony that has decided to move in and are looking for someone who could relocate them for me.

Hi, Not sure i quiet understand the nectar flow. Once you Flow hive is set up the bees will begin doing there work. You can keep an eye on how much honey they are producing via the viewing panels.

Thanks for the reply, did you use two or one brood box before the super? Ive read that using one brood box on the hive flow tends to push the bees to swarm? Not sure if true.
