Honey crystallized in the flow super

Hi,
This season most of the beekeepers in the Czech Republic have a problem with honey crystallization directly in the hive. I don’t know anyone with flowhive in our country, so I would like to ask you, what shall I do with it. Sincerely Tom

I thought there was a thread or video about how to handle crystallized honey… maybe just warming in the sun wrapped in a black plastic bag and then harvesting or maybe if you have a large plastic container that you could put out in the sun it would liquefy and you would be able to harvest.

If you just can’t get it out then you could try uncapping and spinning in a centrifugal extractor, use a pressure washer to clean the cells, or worst case, disassemble the frames and wash of water and reassemble.

Hello and welcome to the Flow forum!

You could always take the Flow super off before the crystalizing nectar period starts. That is what UK beekeepers do when Oil Seed Rape (Canola) starts blooming.
