How to attract bees and pollinators to your garden

The focus for this week’s FaceBook Live was how to entice pollinators into your garden or yard.

I’d love to hear from beekeepers who have planted extra forage in their garden for bees or other pollinators, and see photos of you garden if you’d like to post any.

I’ve also planted seeds for flowers but they haven’t come up as yet.

The bees loved my pawpaw trees and the tea trees which were in flower recently.
I have them buzzing around me as I work in the garden. It’s a lovely space to share with my little friends.

Are these AKA papayas?

We have native pawpaw in Ohio but I think they are pollinated by flies.

Most Aussies I know call them pawpaws but really Pawpaws are yellow and Papayas are red. I grow both.
When I posted a jar of honey to my son in Tasmania he said the honey tasted like Pawpaw. He didn’t know that’s what they’d been feeding on.

Oooh I love the sound of that! Papaya is my favourite fruit  (pawpaw is pretty good too)
