I use a Warre type quilt in my Langs. Brilliant bit of kit.

Lots of differences of opinion!
I asked my gueru about that because he use to transport bees all over.
He said," block there door after dark when they’re no longer flying."
Then move them to there new home and leave them till morning… Then with leafy branches ready open they’re door and place branches so they need to crawl around to get out.
The branches have worked for me twice now.
Once 20 feet, the next a block deeper into our orchard!
The guy that use to bring bee’s to our orchard use to move hives from one block of fruit to the next as the blossoming occurred… Every year!
I plan on doing the same with the above idea.
They were still friendly the day of the move when I opened the top to feed them.
Now you have to deside!?
