I am having trouble with varroa. One of our two hives died a few weeks ago. The other hive is struggling the last couple of weeks. Been treating the hive with Formic Pro. Lots of dead bees. They appear to drunk, staggering, cant fly.

Checked the hive this morning, capped brood, some large larvae, but no eggs. No queen cells. So I assume no queen.

Probably worth trying to put a new queen in, it looks like the hive is just strong enough, plenty of capped brood.

So I am looking for a queen.

I have used Denmar apiaries located up in QLD. they were easy to deal with and the 2 QBs arrived a couple of days later in good condition and the hives accepted both. Much calmer than the ones inherited with the nucs.
