New to all this wonderful bee keeping. My question i have only one new brooder box going. I just read that a guy put a empty brooder box out and put some lemon grass oil on the empty box and it drawed in a swarm. If i put a empty one out and did the same is it going to draw my orginal bees in my first brood box out to the empty one if so what problems could i end up with. Thank you in advance for all the help
The brood box with lemongrass oil you are talking about, attracted a swarm.
If you put a brood box out with lemon grass oil, the bees in your box won’t leave their brood, and go into the other brood box.
The empty box may attract a swarm looking for a new home though, if you are lucky
