Multiple eggs in cells

This one hive was originally our strongest hive they just went queenless and didn’t notice till it was too late. And the week we hives are coming up stronger they just had a rough start from coming from a lot of mites straight from package. We were gonna just shake them in front abd have them beg their way in but was just curious if this was another option is all

It is and a better option than shaking them out
Two sheets of newspaper on top of bottom box during the day. Put the lid back on.
Wait till evening when bees have stopped flying and lift your queen less box gently on top. The bees will be through the newspaper in a couple of days and you can consolidate the frames. It’s simple

We’ve done this newspaper technique to combine, and it worked like a charm.
Very easy on the bees.
Be sure to get newspaper with non-toxic ink :yum:

I’ve done that…this year infact.
Another thing you can do is to swap hive positions when the bees are flying so that you get more bees into the weaker hive. You have to be careful though as a really small colony will be overwhelmed

We considered doing that but winter is fast approaching us and to requeen really is too late

Not if you requeen with a mated queen
