I’m about to add some flow supers after a very wet spring with delayed flowering. I’d love to use this method if it’s still going well for you. I’m not sure I follow your specifics. Do you mean you place the stick in line with the flow frame to wind up, then swing it around to perpendicular when adequately tight?
Still using the stick Alok? A great justification for ice cream if so.

Yep, works fine.
I put the stick in the existing twist and just add turns and then once I’ve added enough turns and tension, I center the stick so it can’t flip back around.
The bees have fully propolized the sticks I have in, not chewed them up but I’m sure I could still slide the stick out if the propolis were softened.
