No wax in top box

There are plenty of bees and brood. These bees gave been in here since late April and they are not putting wax in the cells in the top box.

Welcome to the forum Pam.

It must be remembered that bees convert honey into wax. During a honey dearth, bees can’t produce wax, due to a shortage of honey.

Sometimes it just requires us to be patient while the worker numbers increase. The more workers, the more work gets done.

thanks Jeff I appreciate your advice

Also try scraping some burr comb off the brood box frames and smoosh it into the side of a few Flow frames. Their own wax will smell familiar to them and they are more likely to go up to investigate and repair your “damage”. This might encourage them to continue waxing the Flow frames.
That and patience as Jeff says.
