Hello! Can someone fill me in on the pros/cons to painting or oiling before or after assembly? Got our Flow Hive 2 (cedar) and was excited to put it all together but now I’m wondering if we should treat it first. Thanks in advance for the help!

put simply, water will creep into the joints via capillary action, its very important to oil/paint the joints prior to assembly.

Assemble first, then paint or oil it. The joints can be tight, and if you paint first, you may have trouble putting it together.
