Rookie Beekeeper in Ballarat. Hive inspection photos, would like opinions

Hi folks,
I got my flow hive in December so only had it 4 months now. Coming into early autumn. I started with a full brood box worth of bees and they have been going really well, lots of activity. The almost filled the flow super so I have also added an ideal super for winter storage which is also full now. So all looks pretty good.

However when I did a recent inspection in the brood box, some of the frames had not much brood at all. Some looked okay, but many didn’t. I am wondering what more experienced beekeepers think is going on? Still looks like there are lots of bees and activity, but I am concerned about the brood as we are approaching the cold weather.

Looks great to me, for a pre-autumn hive, that is very normal.

I agree Dawn, it looks like things are slowing down and you have a good brood pattern.

Just looks like your queen is backing off the egg laying. They will fill the empty brood frames with nectar/honey for winter.

Cheers
Rob.
