Stingless bees in Langkawi
Am touring round at the moment and came across a stingless bee/honey farm.
I did get shown around, briefly, but politely declined the taste test. No english spoken. When I seen the $10 price for the 80ml jar in the shopfront, also politely declined. The owner wasn’t very happy then, but had I sampled the honey would’ve been obliged to buy.
The owner took the roof off to show me the few bees. They accessed the area via the small hole in the centre from underneath.
It looked a very watery liquid and gets extracted using a straw and mouth.
