Using Bamboo skewers

Hi all.

Just wondering about using bamboo skewers. I know @Eva does, do you still need a wooden starter strip or does the skewers take care of that?

Hiya, I don’t think starter strips are that useful honestly. Not that I have loads of evidence either way with a very small apiary But yeah, I’d think the skewers would function as a guide.

I have to tell you that when she posts the occasional photo of her bamboo skewer fortified brood frames, they look beautiful. So if @Eva doesn’t need starter strips, you shouldn’t either. Makes life a lot simpler!
