Hi team. I am a brand newbie to this adventure. I have just purchased and assembled my flowhive2 after researching and procrastinating for two years. I also have painted the roof with a quality house paint. I applied tung oil to the super brood and base which seemed to be the best option as the western red cedar is stunning and my finished product is beautiful, However now reading your reviews on the oil I am now wondering if this was the best option and if I should make a change before I get started in my Bee keeping journey. Maybe this will be the first part of a process of challenges that await me.
