Wax caps - should I remove

I lost my hive after last fall. They all flew away. I started over this spring with a new box a bees and a queen. I emptied all of the Flow Frames and rinsed all the residual honey out. The frames have been stored in a shed until now. Dry and out of the weather. There is still a good bit of wax caps on the frames. Do I need to remove this or will the bees work with it and reuse it as they fill the frames with honey ?
If I need to clean it, I’ve read that warm water is the way to go.

They will chew it off and reuse it.

Being new to beekeeping, I thought they might but wasn’t sure.
Thanks

You can use a diluted bleach mix to clean/sterilise them then a good rinse. :+1:
