Probably still a bit cold, but the main driver of putting on the Flow super is having an abundance of bees in the brood box. It should be full to overflowing with bees. That way they’re looking for space and you are giving them a place to move the honey to and free up brood cells.

I agree that it’s still a bit too cold. Bear in mind that we’re (I’m in SE Qld) coming into spring, so therefore we need to be aware that bees will be focusing on swarming during that period. You can do a combination of getting the bees ready to produce honey, as well swarm prevention measures, which I’m in the middle of now.
